Klarisse de Guzman reflects on career journey following 'PBB': 'Lahat is may timing talaga'

Klarisse de Guzman admitted she was in disbelief over the overwhelming support she received after she became a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.

"Hindi ako makapaniwala kasi dati naman ang makakakilala lang sa'yo ang mahilig manood ng singers," she recalled in an interview with Vice Ganda for his latest YouTube vlog.

The singer expressed her surprise at how even younger audiences now recognize her. "Ngayon nagulat ako kahit Gen Z tawag sa akin Mowm. Lahat na mowm, tapos my God totoo ba 'to? Ang galing. Buti pala tinry ko 'yung PBB. Kung kailan ako tumanda dun ko pa narasan ito," she remarked.

Reflecting on her journey, Klarisse emphasized that success is all about timing. "Lahat is may timing talaga. Talagang kailangan mo lang maghintay," she highlighted. "'Yung mga nai-imagine ko lang dati, ngayon nagkatotoo na. Ang saya. Tapos ngayon wala na akong tinatago."

In the same vlog, Klarisse revealed that even before entering the PBB house, she had already made the decision to come out as bisexual.

On why she chose PBB as the platform to share her truth, she explained: "Reality show talaga siya, teleserye ng totoong buhay. Bubuksan mo 'yung buhay mo, dapat ready ka. Sabi ko parang ito na yata 'yung tamang panahon total ang tagal na rin. Gusto ko na rin talagang magpakatoo."

She also shared that she's been in a relationship with her girlfriend, Trina Rey, for four years. "Kaya sabi ko parang ito na yata 'yung time. Di ba kasi parang ang unfair na rin naman. Di ba lagi mo akong tinatanong sa Showtime about sa love life, kung anu-ano ang sinasagot ko," she told Vice.

Klarisse, alongside her duo Shuvee Etrata, were evicted from the PBB house on June 14 after placing third, receiving the lowest percentage of votes among the three nominees at 31.50%.

Following the conclusion of her journey in PBB, Klarisse to express her gratitude to those who supported her journey and her tandem with Shuvee.

"Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sumuporta at nagmahal sa amin ni @shuveeetrata as team ShuKla. Di man kami pinalad, Masaya naman po ang puso namin dahil sa inyong lahat. Grabe kayo mga mowms!" she posted on her Instagram page.

The singer also thanked the PBB team for giving her the opportunity to be part of the show. "Thank you so much @pbbabscbntv sa napaka-saya at di malilimutang experience na to. Maraming salamat po kuya! Totoo ngang may magic ang bahay mo. Kuya, I Love you 3x a day! Maraming salamat po sa lahat. I miss you, wag ka papalipas ng gutom. Chareng!" she said.
