Dina Bonnevie recently launched her newest YouTube channel, House of D. For its pilot episode, the seasoned actress gathered her children and their spouses to talk about family, parenting and everything in between.
Oyo Sotto and Danica Sotto showed up in full support of their mom’s vlogging venture. They were joined by their spouses — Kristine Hermosa and Marc Pingris, respectively.
For her daughter in-law Kristine, their family is a “combination of everything.”
Danica echoed Kristine’s sentiment: “I don’t think nakakahon ‘yung family natin into one definition. I feel mix tayo ng iba’t iba.”
In the vlog, Dina proudly claimed that they are a family that is “faith-centered.”
“I’m sure naman in a way ganon tayo kasi ako I believe we pray about everything. Feeling ko our decisions are based on what God wants, based on the Bible,” she said.
Meanwhile, Oyo, a father of six, emphasized that a family is a God-given gift that should be treasured.
“Whatever your family is, I believe na ang Panginoon, si God, siya ang pumili ng pamilya mo, siya ang gumawa sa pamilya mo (at) sa’yo. Hindi ko naman pinili na ‘ah dito ako kay Dina Bonnevie, gusto ko kay Vic Sotto.’ Wala namang ganon eh. Namulat nalang tayo sa mundo na ito ang pamilya natin,” he said.

“Kung dinesign tayo na ganon, mahalin natin ang pamilya natin. We have differences, marami ‘yan. Nagkakasakitan tayo, nagkakatampuhan, pero at the end of the day, love covers a multitude of sins eh,” he added.
Marc, on his end, recalled longing for a father’s love growing up and how meeting his father when he was 26 years old filled the void in his heart. As a father of three, the basketball star strives harder to give his children the best life they could ever have.
“For me, kaya ako nag-ta-trabaho din, kaya kahit anong pagod, minsan kahit anong bugbog ng katawan ko, talagang binibigay ko ‘yung best ko sa trabaho para lang ma-make sure ko na okay sila. Na pag-uuwi ako, okay sila na may makain sila, na may magandang higaan ang mga anak ko, makapag-rest sila ng maayos,” Marc said.

Dina concluded her first vlog by leaving her viewers a valuable reminder about family and faith.
“Lahat tayo may kanya-kanyang challenges but it’s not about us, it’s about how we finish the race and how we finish the race with God on our side and how we managed to bring the lessons we learn from that family into our lives to be our very best selves,” she said.
