It was in May when Megan's husband, Mikael Daez, announced that they had welcomed their baby boy.
In a podcast episode back in February, Megan and Mikael discussed their thoughts on parenting, sharing insights into how they plan to approach raising their first child.
Megan reflected on the advice she has received about becoming a parent, noting that it’s impossible to ever be truly "ready" for parenthood.
"An advice that somebody gave me when it came to parenting is you will never be ready because there's always the unknown of who your child is going to be, the kind of child you're going to have. Of course you shape them with discipline, etc. but their personality is something that’s just there," she relayed.
The actress also shared that she frequently thinks about her parenting style, especially as she comes across parenting tips on social media.
"Parenting style is definitely something that I think about on a day-to-day basis especially when I scroll through TikTok and Instagram about tips here and there, so I think when the baby comes then we'll have a better idea of how we want to do it. Basta meron tayong groundwork na masusundan and then we grow from there, okay na ako dun," she remarked.
Mikael further stressed the unpredictability of life, acknowledging that uncertainty will continue even after the arrival of their child, so he highlighted the importance of being flexible when it comes to parenting.
"We're in the middle of our lives and the whole time that I have been alive, everything has always been an unknown. Nothing is certain and that doesn't really change when you have a child. It's still all unknown, you don't know how your child is going to grow up. You can hope to influence it, hope to do the right thing but ultimately, the answer is, I don't know what is going to happen," he said.
The actor went on: "We try our best, but we do not know and I'm okay with that. Parang I've come to accept na parang that's what life is, and we make most out of the moments na you have presently, and for everything else moving forward you do your best and try to be flexible."
