Kapamilya actress is ready for her role in the upcoming ABS-CBN series The Alibi as she showed off her new hairdo earlier this week. This will be her first time to sport short hair for a series as she had only long hair since her debut as an actress in 2006.
The Alibi will be Kim’s fourth project with on screen partner Paulo Avelino.

In the short clip Dreamscape Entertainment posted on their official social media accounts, Kim was spotted preparing herself for her much-awaited haircut. The series will showcase a daring Kim with short and curly hair which excited fans.
“Are you ready for the total makeover? Parang I don't like it anymore. I’ll go home na lang,” she quipped.
Despite her funny antics at the beginning, Kim remained professional as she allowed the hairstylist to cut her hair–– something she couldn’t help but be emotional about.
“Goodbye long hair, see you again! Naiiyak na ako nagtatanggal palang tayo ng hikaw niyan ah,” she added.
The It’s Showtime host then shared that after 19 years of being in the showbiz industry, she is finally trying something new to her hair. After her cut, Kim expressed how happy she was with the final look.
“After 19 years… Welcome to the young and beautiful you. Oh my gosh,” she expressed.
This isn’t the first time Kim tried to pull off short hair. It was back in 2023 when the Kapamilya star stunned her followers on social media as she and her hairstylist tried short hair with bangs.
Despite being the shortest hairdo she's had for a project, the past shows she had showed several styles that she can totally rock. In her 2023 series, Linlang, the award-winning actress had long curly hair which shocked the fans.
Kim had long and straight hair in most of her roles in the past which became a staple for her projects. One of the times that she didn’t have long and straight hair in a film was her 2013 film, Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo. She sported long and voluminous curly hair as part of her character as Sandy Veloso.
Fans expressed how beautiful the short hair looks for the Kapamilya star. Other netizens complimented her for being so professional and letting them cut her hair all for a project.
Meanwhile, The Alibi is set to be directed by FM Reyes and Jojo Saguin–– both of which have worked with Kim and Paulo for Linlang. The highly-anticipated series is written by Danica Mae Domingo.
