Doug Kramer recently took to social media to share his family's memorable experience visiting the iconic Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain.
"Barcelona's iconic Sagrada Familia has utterly captivated our hearts and minds," Doug said in an Instagram post.
The celebrity dad described the visit as truly awe-inspiring, noting that seeing the basilica in person was a powerful and unforgettable experience.
"We've heard and read so much about Antoni Gaudí's masterpiece, but seeing it up close is an experience that transcends mere information, and we're so glad we brought Kendra, Scarlett, and Gavin to experience this in person," he said.
Doug praised Gaudí's visionary work, saying: "Gaudi's architectural style, born in the late 1800s, still feels incredibly modern today – he was truly ahead of his time."
He went on: "It's astonishing to consider that this immense basilica has been a continuous work in progress since 1882, each phase adding to its unfolding legacy. They say it'll be finished in the next few years."
Doug also expressed his admiration for the church's depiction of Jesus, calling it "majestic."
"The portrayal of Jesus' story through every curve, color, and light reflection is nothing short of majestic. No wonder people called him, 'God's Architect,'" he said. "Gaudi's design of the facade beautifully depicts the birth of Christ, while the rear portrays His death or Passion of the Christ."
Speaking about the interior, Doug described the spiritual depth of the basilica's design. "Inside, the design is a profound spiritual journey; we were mesmerized by the interior posts signifying the main disciples, rising like organic trees, symbolizing the very pillars of the Christian faith, with the four largest pillars representing Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John."
Doug concluded his post by encouraging others to visit the landmark. "It cost us about 4k php each for an entry with a tour guide, but it was worth it! Everyone needs to see the Sagrada Familia," he stated.
