Singer, director, and actor Jeffrey Hidalgo visited the wake of the late veteran actor and director Ricky Davao at the Heritage Park in Taguig on Monday night.
Hidalgo shared his fondest memory with Davao, whom he considered his close friend.
"Sobrang mahilig niya kumanta. Pag napahawak mo siya ng mic hindi mo na makukuha," Hidalgo said.
Hidalgo had an opportunity to direct a movie with Davao in the cast.
"I directed him in two projects, one was teleserye back in 2017, 2018, and then 2022, I directed him in a movie... and I guess 'yun ang fondest memory ko of him kasi sobrang na-enjoy ko 'yung creative process," he shared.
Davao was a humble director and actor, according to Hidalgo.
"Kahit director din siya parang talagang nirerespeto niya ako as his director when he is my actor on set, mahilig siya mag-suggest, very respectful pa rin," Hidalgo uttered.
Hidalgo will remember Davao as an actor who challenged himself by portraying unusual roles.
"Alam naman natin 'yung ambag niya sa industriya napakaraming memorable roles na nagawa niya. Mahilig siya sa challenging roles," Hidalgo added.
Dulce, Anabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez were some of the other personalities who paid their last respects to the late Ricky Davao.
