Dolly de Leon opened up about her journey as a mother.
In an interview with MJ Marfori of News5, the actress shared that she is very hands-on when it comes to raising her children.
"I'm very hands on. I'm a single mom so I raise all my kids by myself," she relayed.
Dolly, who has four children, shared that she tries to be as open-minded as possible when it comes to parenting. "I'm very open. I try to be a cool mom. I try to be open-minded para they can open up to me too," the actress stated.
She also emphasized that beyond being a parent, she maintains a close bond with her kids. "I have a friendship with my kids, magkaibigan kami, barkada."
Dolly is currently starring in her first Hollywood series Nine Perfect Strangers, now streaming on Prime Video. She stars in the show alongside Nicole Kidman.
In the series, Dolly portrays the role of a former nun named Agnes.
In a recent interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the actress discussed what she hopes the audiences will gain from the series. "I think that people will come out feeling a sense of hope. That there is hope for them. I think that every person, at one point or another in their lives, has felt lost and not knowing who they are and not knowing what to do. Hopefully with this one, they come out with renewed hope," she said.
Despite her experience with international productions, the Golden Globe-nominated actress admitted she still gets starstruck.
"Yes I do, I still get starstruck. And I approach them looking starstruck. But then ang bilis maka-recover kasi sobrang bait nila eh. Sobrang down-to-earth nila na after a while, nagiging okay na ako. Nawawala na 'yung kaba ko!" she confessed.
Apart from Nine Perfect Strangers, Dolly is also set to star in the Netflix series Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Dolly will portray the roles of Lo and Li, the twin advisers of Princess Azula of the Fire Nation in the second season of the show.
