Judy Ann Santos recently opened up about whether she still wants to have another baby.
In an interview with her longtime friend Gladys Reyes for the latter's YouTube vlog, the award-winning actress candidly shared her thoughts on expanding her family.
"After ko manganak kay Luna (her second daughter), sinabi ko talagang ayaw ko ng mag-baby kasi na-CS (cesarean section) ako, ang sakit. Kay Lucho (her son) normal birth ako, kay Luna CS ako. Sakit na sakit ako... Na-trauma ako sa pain kasi hindi ako ready na ma-CS eh," she shared.
Judy Ann also relayed that she and her husband, Ryan Agoncillo, are not planning on having another child. "After ni Luna, nung lumalaki na siya, okay na, sabi ko parang pwede namang ma-sundan pero hindi namin pinaplano ni Ryan kasi hindi naman talaga ako madaling mabuntis."
Now in her 40s, Judy Ann acknowledged that her age is also a factor. "Parang mahirap na, 47 na ako," she stated.
She further explained her hesitation with humor and honesty. "At tsaka parang iniisip ko, kapag magkaka-baby kami ngayon, kung ano man ang i-bless ni Lord, sa pagkakataong ito at nagka-baby kami dapat handa akong nagpupunta pa ako sa day care na 60 years old ako... Nagpupunta pa ako sa fair... Akala mo tapos ka na sa daycare babalik ka naman sa daycare," she quipped.
Right now, Judy Ann said she and Ryan prefer to focus on raising their three children. "Kumbaga naka-focus na lang ngayon kami sa each activity na gusto ng mga bagets namin like si Lucho is very much into football so at least natutukan namin siya."
She added that while their kids are open to the idea of having a younger sibling, they’re also content as a family of five. "Kahit sila naman din, open sila na magkaroon ng isa pang baby if dumating pero parang okay na rin sila na silang tatlo lang."
Judy Ann is a proud mother of three. She welcomed her eldest daughter, Yohan, into her life through adoption when she was 26. She later gave birth to her son, Lucho, in 2010, and her youngest daughter, Luna, in 2016.
