Actress-turned-politician Marjorie Barretto expressed her gratitude to her supporters who voted and campaigned for her in the recently concluded 2025 elections. Though she may have not won a seat this election, the celebrity mom is looking at brighter things ahead for her future in politics.
Marjorie placed seventh overall in the Councilors race for the First District of Caloocan City with 112,684 votes based from the partial, unofficial results aggregated from COMELEC data earlier this week. Only six spots were up for grabs and she was at least 17,000 votes away from the sixth placer.

“Hindi man tayo pinalad… Lumaban tayo ng patas,” she wrote.
The politician shared that despite the unfortunate outcome, she felt the love and support of the people of Caloocan City.
“Maraming Salamat sa 112k votes. Grabe kayong magmahal district 1! Pinaramdam ninyo sa akin yan saan man ako nagpunta. Sa lahat ng tumulong at nag tiwala ng walang kapalit, MARAMING SALAMAT,” she said.
She expressed that she will continue to help out even though she may not have won a seat in this election cycle.
“Hindi po tayo nagtatapos dito, pahinga lamang po ako ng kaunti at sa tulong ng Diyos matutupad pa rin ang mga pangarap ko para sa inyo ng hindi kailangan ng posisyon. 🙏🏻🩷🙏🏻🩷 Grateful for the memories and the people I met along the way,” she ended.

Family and fans of the former actress consoled her in the comment section. Other netizens hailing from Caloocan expressed their gratitude towards her for running in their city.
“You have our support always, mom! We love you so much! And we’re very proud of you,” daughter Dani Barretto wrote.
“The right time will come Ms Marj ❤️Sinabi ko sa nanay ko sana manalo si Ms Marj...Kaya nung binalita sa akin na hindi nakasama, medyo nalungkot ako,” a supporter added.
Marjorie was previously elected as a City Councilor of Caloocan more than a decade ago. In her earlier posts, she shared how challenging it was for her to make the decision to run again for her beloved city.
