Jackie Lou Blanco got candid about what she misses most about her late mother, Pilita Corrales.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, the actress shared the simple and everyday moments she longs for the most. "I miss my mom calling me every day and asking me how I am," she said.

Jackie Lou also relayed how much she misses her mother’s familiar scent. "I miss how wonderful she smelled always. I always look forward and seeing mom how wonderful she smelled," she said.

The actress went on: "And that's one of the things that mom gifted me because days after she passed, I smelled her perfume. And it was bittersweet. I was happy that I smelled it but sad because wala na si mom."

She added that beyond the physical absence, it's the bond and conversations they shared that she yearns for most.

"I just miss mom being there, calling me. I miss her laughter. I miss the conversations. I miss her making kwento about the things in the past, her love life. I just miss her. I miss her presence," she stated.

In the same interview, Jackie Lou opened up how she has been coping with the heartbreaking losses of Pilita and her ex-husband, Ricky Davao.

On how these recent losses have shaped her outlook on death, Jackie shared a heartfelt reflection: "What I've realized is when you lose a loved one even with my situation with Ricky, what is left is just love. I don't think of the not so good times, I don't think of anything else but what last pala talaga is love both for mom and Ricky."

She added that her grief for Ricky came with a different emotional weight, given their past separation. "But I think I am experiencing that more with Ricky because with mom I didn't have naman a separation of sorts but with Ricky I did although I am happy that we got to a point where things were better. But pala when there is death all you remember is love and love stays. It may be a different kind of love but it's love that stays," she stated.
