Filipino American actor Jacob Batalon is officially engaged to his girlfriend, Veronica Leahov.
The couple shared the joyous news on their social media pages, posting photos from Jacob’s romantic proposal in New York City.
“The beginning of the rest of our lives together❤️🔥♾️🔐👸🏼👩🏼❤️👨🏽🤞🏽🌎,” Jacob shared.
In the images, Jacob can be seen kneeling in front of Veronica beneath a heart-shaped arch adorned with roses and surrounded by white candles as he popped the question. The couple also showcased Veronica’s engagement ring.
On her personal Instagram page, Veronica expressed her excitement for this new chapter in their lives.
“A lifetime of us!!!! I never imagined my heart could hold so much love and feel such depth of emotion,” she expressed.
She went on: “This is the purest happiness I’ve ever known, and I can’t wait to spend forever with the love of my life!!💍♾️❤️🔥.”
Jacob gained international recognition for his role as Peter Parker's best friend, Ned Leeds, in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

He also starred as Reginald in the horror-comedy SyFy series Reginald the Vampire, where he honored his real-life family roots by using his mother’s last name in the show and speaking Ilocano. Meanwhile, Veronica works as an architectural designer.

The couple became Instagram official last year, frequently posting clips from their dates and travels on social media. They also shared heartfelt birthday messages for each other.
“You entered my life and showed me what true love really is. To be loved and cared for so deeply is something I will cherish forever. I watch the way you love and care for everyone in your life and it makes my heart explode. Your love completes me, I love everything about you,” Veronica wrote in a birthday post dedicated to Jacob.
Jacob also wrote: “I just want the world to know how unique and special you are, this year is gonna be another amazing year of life! I’m so excited, and I’m looking forward to spending it with you and the rest of our future together.”
Jacob’s engagement comes just two months after rumors surfaced about fellow Spider-Man co-stars and friends Tom Holland and Zendaya’s engagement.

Fans and followers flooded the couple’s comment sections with congratulatory messages.
“@lifeisaloha @veroleahov congratulation you two are cute and Ned your friend Mr Parker would be happy for you 👍,” a fan said pertaining to Jacob and Tom’s characters.
Another one rejoiced, “We have two Spider-Man weddings 🎉.”
