Miguel Lorenzo Padlan, the son of Kris Aquino’s ex-boyfriend, Dr. Mike Padlan, broke his silence on social media to defend his father against rumors and misinformation. He expressed how hurt he and his siblings have been because of all the hate their father has been getting.
Kris previously revealed to the public that she parted ways with her boyfriend and claimed that “he didn’t love” her.

In his post, the doctor’s son shared how disheartened he is to see all the false stories and baseless narratives that caused unnecessary drama towards his father. He hoped that netizens would stop spreading such lies as it’s unfair and misleading for them.
Miguel added that it wasn’t true that his father didn’t love Kris as he was a witness of how much his father cared for the Philippines’ Queen of All Media.
“The truth is simple yes, my father and Mama Kris separated because the spark between them was gone. However, that does not mean my father never loved her. He truly did. Their relationship was real, and he cared deeply for her,” he wrote.
Despite his father having loved Kris, he maintained that love isn’t the answer to all of the problems.
“Love alone is not always enough to make a relationship last forever. Sometimes, two people are simply not meant to be together in the long run, no matter how much they once loved each other,” he added.
Miguel then revealed how neglected he and his siblings felt during the time of their father’s relationship with Kris. He recalled how the doctor would constantly travel to the US to visit the celebrity.

“He gave so much of his time and energy to her, even at the cost of his own well-being. There were times when he had little to no money left and was losing patients at his clinic, yet he still chose to be with her,” he said.
He maintained that his father didn’t ask any money from Kris during their relationship as well contrary to what netizens have been spreading.
“Let me make one thing clear-my father never asked her for anything. He never begged for money or gifts. Whatever Mama Kris gave—whether financial support or presents—she did so out of her own kindness and generosity,” he assured.
Towards the end of his post, Miguel assured everyone that he and his siblings still have respect for Kris and understood her situation with their father.
“We love you, Mama Kris, and we love our father as well. Family is family. That is why I am here-to support my father and stand by my family,” he ended.
Meanwhile, Kris has yet to release a statement as of this writing.
