More than 25 years after they were first formed by choreographer Joy Cancio as the iconic all-female dance group, the Sexbomb dancers have more than cemented their name, proven by their successful sold-out reunion concert Get, Get Aw! last December 4 at the Araneta Coliseum. Their longtime leader, Rochelle Pangilinan, shared her thoughts on social media after achieving this new milestone for the group.
In her Instagram post last December 6, Rochelle wrote, “Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala… Nasa cloud 9 pa rin ako hanggang ngayon! Totoo ba talaga ‘to?”
She went on to express gratutude for all their supporters. “Hinamon n’yo kami — at buong puso namin itong tinanggap. At nung dumating kayo sa venue… sobra kayong nagpakita ng pagmamahal. Hindi pa man nagsisimula ang opening, ramdam na ramdam na namin ang energy n’yo. Nagsho-showdown agad! Perfect crowd. Kaya lalo kaming ginanahan. Kung 100 ang energy namin, ginawa naming 300 — kasi ganun kayo sa amin.”
She continued, “At oo, naiyak ako. Kahit anong tago ko, tumulo pa rin. Salamat dahil sinamahan n’yo kami mula noon… hanggang ngayon. Salamat sa lahat ng lumaki kasama ang SexBomb.”

Rochelle made sure to thank everyone who helped bring their reunion concert to fruition and also shared her appreciation for their special guests, like Dingdong Dantes who performed with his former dance group the Abztract dancers. The group also included Rochelle’s husband Arthur Solinap, who is also a former member of the group.
“Hindi tayo binigo ng guests natin ang lala!! Sa Primetime King Dingdong Dantes. Hataw kung hataw! Nung niligawan ka namin sa FF akala namin nung nag -oo ka ay joke lang. Tinototoo mo nga ang pag guest! Grabe ka! Kinarir ang lyrics,costume at kinarir ang performance. Nostalgia ang paglabas po ninyo! Rehearsal pa lng.. tinatry ko maging ok pero na starstruck po ako sa presence nyo,” expressed Rochelle.
“At sa asawa ko, @art_solinap. Maraming salamat sa tulong mo bhe! Ang galing mo pa din sumayaw! Hahah! Nakita mo lahat journey ko sa concery na ito. I love you. Naiyak yan. Pinigilan nya lang.😅,” she added.
Other stars who made surprise appearances on the show included Michael V., Ogie Alcasid, Wendell Ramos, Antonio Aquitania, Mark Bautista, Joshua Zamora, rapper Elias, and the EB Babes.
During the concert, the Sexbomb leader also flexed her rapping skills on stage, which impressed all of her longtime fans. She wrote in her post, “Warning: may konting paghingal pero may bars pa rin. Sino mag-aakala na after all these years, nakakabuga pa ng rap sa sold out concert?? Thank you legs—ay este, lungs! 😂.”
Prior to the concert, Rochelle revealed she really prepared her body by working out and doing wellness treatments in order to help her lose 20 lbs and bring out her abs.
The iconic girl group Sexbomb is set to return on stage for the second leg of their Get, Get, Aw! The Sexbomb Concert happening this time at the MOA Arena on December 9, Tuesday.
Earlier this year, Rochelle won her first Cinemalaya acting award for her role as JM Ibarra's mother in the film Child No. 82: Anak ni Boy Kana, where she took home the Best Supporting Actress award. The film also marked her acting debut in the long-running independent film festival.
