Concert director Paolo Valenciano apologized on his Facebook account after losing “complete control” of an event earlier this month where he was calling the shots. In his post, the celebrity son hinted that he won’t be working again with singer-songwriter Rico Blanco, who was also part of the event.
Paolo apologized to his client, rock band Cup of Joe, and the audience who had to wait for a longer period of time during the JBL Sound Fest held earlier this month in Pasig City.

“Tonight, I lost complete control of our event, which caused a major delay and added two extra hours of work to an already exhausted team,” he wrote in his post.
The director added that Cup of Joe wasn’t late to their performance and was stuck in a traffic jam due to the new call time set.
“I sincerely apologize to our client JBL and to my brothers from Cup of Joe (who had to be picked up by motorcycles in traffic jams just to make their new call time).This was my first year with JBL Sound Fest so I found this incredibly frustrating,” he added.
This was Paolo’s first time working at the JBL Sound Fest and admitted how “incredibly frustrating” he felt with what transpired. Towards the end of his post, he mentioned the veteran singer-songwriter who he idolizes as well.
“We learn new things every day and I know I still have a lot to improve!! To everyone who was there, super sorry😢 And to Rico, my hero, while I sincerely wish you the best, I’ve learned that we’re simply not meant to work together again,” he ended.

Netizens gave various reactions in the comment section to which Paolo has been replying to. Others have questioned whether or not Rico was the final performance for the night or if it was Cup of Joe.
“Sana happy kana. Dami ng hate kay Korics. Anong na gain mo sa pag post neto? Fame?” a fan of Rico wrote in the comments.
“Na protect ko po yung team ko. At mga artist namin na wala naman kasalanan. Hindi ako happy kasi idol ko siya, pero may peace ako . Hope that helps,” Paolo responded.
Rico has yet to respond to Paolo’s claims as of writing.
