Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Joj Agpangan opened up about why she and her American fiancé, Danny, decided to settle down in the United States.
"Actually, a lot of people are asking me that I have a life in the Philippines and then why I decided to move to the US. It takes a man to lead right? I really found my person and I just followed everything," she said in her latest YouTube vlog.
The actress explained that she trusted Danny enough to make such a major life change. "You know when it comes to love, you just do big decisions. I told you it takes two to tango, so I just took that leap of faith. I'm just gonna trust him that we are gonna settle in the US and now it's amazing here," she said.
Joj also assured viewers that they will continue visiting the Philippines. "We're always gonna come back to the Philippines. We're always gonna visit families, but now we're building our community here. People around here are so nice, they are very welcoming so yeah it's an exciting journey," she stated.
In the same vlog, Danny shared that they spent a lot of time thinking about where they wanted to build their future before finally deciding. "I've been living [in the Philippines] for a while. I have friends in the Philippines. So it was easy for me to see a future there and we considered it. We really considered it and we thought through different options and we decided that we really want to raise a family in the US," he said.
Danny also offered advice to men in relationships. "I think for any guys watching this my word of advice would be just have a plan and show your partner that you really thought through what your future is gonna look like together. Because you as a man is responsbile for leading a relationship so if you can envision a really good future together, whether that's in the Philippines or whether that's in your home country or another country entirely, she's probably gonna follow you if you are going to make a compelling enough case," he said.
It was in October when Joj announced her engagement to Danny via her Instagram page.
"'And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.' – Colossians 3:14. He put a ring on it! 💍 From Tita Joj to Wifey Joj," she posted at that time.
She added: "Forever starts now with you, Danny. What a journey it has been — everything happened in God's perfect timing. I feel so blessed to have a man who loves so deeply and fully. My soulmate, I love you so much! ❤️"
In her YouTube vlog, Joj shared the details behind her engagement ring.
"This ring is really special. Actually, he asked what specific design I have in mind, but of couse he had the final say. This ring, as you notice, it has two stones beside the bigger one. So these two cute diamonds symbolize me and Jai, because we are twin sisters. Of course, Jai is a big part of my life. He added two diamonds beside the big one. He chose the right ring for me. So grateful for him," she relayed.
The actress also expressed her excitement to spend the rest of her life with Danny. "He's really a great guy, he's the best. And I can't wait to spend my whole life with him," she stated.
She also expressed her gratitude to their families for being supportive of their journey. "Me and Danny, we're really grateful that we have like an amazing family. They're very supportive, they're very loving. That's why it's super smooth na journey sa amin," she said.
