Filipina singer Sophia of KATSEYE opened up about the personal discoveries she has made while touring for The Beautiful Chaos Tour.

In a vlog uploaded on KATSEYE's YouTube channel on December 20, Sophia shared that she has started to feel more settled as the group reaches the midpoint of the tour.

"We're now in Atlanta, Georgia. We are in Dani's home and were like almost midway of the tour. It's kinda moving really fast. I feel like I'm starting to get into the groove with the tour and what I need for myself and just how I am going about with a lot of the things," she said.

Sophia admitted that one of the ongoing challenges she's still adjusting to is packing while traveling across multiple cities. "[I'm] still learning a lot more of like, I think one of the things that I am still figuring out is what I am doing with my packing. It's like suitcases, like the unpacking and packing, every night, that's crazy," she shared.

The singer also reflected on the discoveries she has made about herself while on the road.

"I'm also learning that I really, really value alone time while on tour. Especially because we are traveling a lot and I'm in a lot of places where I haven't been before. I'm somebody that loves to sort of spend time with myself," she said.

The singer went on: "When I was in Toronto that was when I was kind of going through something so that was when I took a day for myself for the first time ever."

Sophia also highlighted how KATSEYE's fans, dubbed as EYEKONS, have been a constant source of motivation throughout the tour.

"Genuinely speaking, my EYEKONS have been a big part of pushing me to show up every day. Being on tour and not being close to my hometown, I don't have a lot of family who are coming on tour and every time I see our fans in the audience that I am sort of familiar with and I know that they've been there for a long time like I literally know a lot of them by name, it just makes me feel like I have family with me. And no matter what I'm going through, once I hit the stage and I see the EYEKONs just excited to see me, I feel like that's a feeling that's a feeling that nobody can ever take away from me," she remarked.

KATSEYE kicked off their The Beautiful Chaos Tour in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 15 (US time).

The group is composed of six members including Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, and Yoonchae.

In an interview with Teen Vogue in January, Sophia shared what it means for her to represent Filipinos on the international stage as part of a global girl group.

The singer remarked that she is proud to showcase her Filipino identity on the global music scene.

"I want to be somebody who will never hide the fact that I'm Filipino," she pointed out. "I want to be loud about it. It means a lot when somebody embraces their culture, especially their Philippine culture and their heritage."

In the same interview, Sophia relayed that she always looks up to her theater actress mother, Carla Guevara-Laforteza. Sophia shared how her mom helped mold her to be the artist that she is today.

"She's not a teacher, but I tagged along for everything. She would take me to rehearsal. I would just sit there and observe. She trained me to be a visual learner," she recalled.
