MANILA — Actress Sta. Maria turned to social media to pen a message for her son, Thirdy, who just turned 20.
On Instagram, Sta. Maria uploaded photos of her son and their snaps through the years. She also shared a heartfelt message for her only child on his special day.
The Kapamilya star began her post by sharing her amazement of how quickly Thirdy grew up.
"Wow, you are 20! Parang kailan lang hawak hawak lang kita so small, so fragile..and now here you are stepping into adulthood," says Sta. Maria, who expressed gratitude to God for her son's life.
"These 20 years with you have been one of my life’s greatest blessings and I thank the Lord for your life. It’s a gift to watch you grow, learn, stumble, rise, and grow with courage and humility," the actress added.
Sta. Maria also shared her prayer for wisdom, protection and guidance for Thirdy, whom she also encouraged to dream big.
"I pray that our good Lord continues to guide you and protect you and grant you the deepest desires of your heart.
Sta. Maria concluded her post by promising that she will always be there for Thirdy, her "favorite travel buddy," and expressing her unconditional love as a mom.
"Life may bring uncertainties, but know that I and the people who truly love you and care for you will always be here, cheering you on, ready to catch you if you fall, and celebrating every step of your journey. We believe in you anak! I love you always and forever. Happy Birthday, my favorite travel buddy! 💗."
Thirdy is Sta. Maria's son with former husband Panfilo Lacson Jr. or Pampi.
Last year, Sta. Maria confirmed that the Supreme Court has granted the nullity of her marriage to Lacson. They were married back in 2005 but separated in 2010.
