Filipino-Canadian vlogger Mikey Bustos celebrated his 13th anniversary with longtime boyfriend RJ Garcia, marking more than a decade of building a life together.
In an Instagram post shared on December 21, Mikey reflected on their years as a couple, pairing his message with photos spanning their relationship and a bouquet of flowers symbolizing the milestone.
“We made it to 13 yrs, y'all!” Mikey wrote, as he looked back on how their relationship grew over time.
In his message, he revisited what he had often heard about relationships in the LGBTQIA+ community, sharing, “They always told me it's hard to date in the lgbt world, but I know now that's a myth.”
He continued by describing the life they have built together, noting how they started from nothing and watched “dreams materialize,” all while experiencing the world side by side.
“I feel lucky to have built everything from nothing, watched dreams materialize, and experienced the world together with my one person, ride or die, and best friend.”
Mikey ended the post with hope for what lies ahead, saying, “I really hope this for everyone because love makes the impossible possible! The best is still to come @appleboyrj and I hope we continue to do more awesome things in the world! 💐”
The post was met with warm reactions from netizens and fellow celebrities, who joined in celebrating the couple’s anniversary.

RJ also marked the occasion on his own Instagram account, sharing a message that reflected their shared growth over the years.
“We look at things diffrently but we made each other.🍎🐜 Happy 13th anniversary to us @mikeybustos!” he wrote, highlighting how their differences shaped their partnership.
The anniversary celebration also brought back memories for longtime followers of the couple. In 2019, Mikey publicly revealed that he is part of the LGBTQIA+ community through an Instagram post shared in April. In the photo, Mikey was seen posing with RJ in Puerto Galera, accompanied by the caption, “Freedom 🏳️🌈❤🌅”.
The post was met with an outpouring of support from fans.
Shortly after, Mikey shared another post expressing his gratitude for the response and his journey toward living authentically.
