At the age of 21, Francine Diaz can already be proud of the fact that she has been thriving in showbiz for more than a decade now. The former child actress got into acting at the age of 10, doing minor roles in ABS-CBN shows, starting with her role as the young version of Ellen Adarna’s role in the 2015 teleserye Pasion de Amor. Since getting her breakout role as Cassie Mondragon in the 2018 hit series Kadenang Ginto, Francine’s star has continued to rise with her inclusion in the cast of the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Shake, Rattle, & Roll Evil Origins.
“How does it feel? Nakaka-pressure talaga. Kasi po nag-MMFF kami ni Seth (Fedelin) last year sa My Future You tapos MMFF ulit this December. So siyempre ‘yung expectations. alam naman namin ‘yun. Pero ang masasabi naman namin na kahit ang dami naming ginagawa, habang ginagawa namin ang Shake, Rattle, & Roll, binigay namin ang lahat namin dito. And sana ma-appreciate din yun ng lahat ng manunuod kasi dito naging hands-on talaga kami,” Francine shared during the Shake, Rattle, & Roll Evil Origins presscon held last month.

The pretty actress also shared how challenging it was to shoot multiple projects at the same time, and producing good quality work. “Tatawid kami from teleserye, tatawid kami ng pelikula. Lahat ng dugo, ng pawis, lahat ng puyat, lahat ng pagod — kasama po ‘yun nung ginagawa namin ito. Siyempre bukod po dun, ginagawa namin siya ng may pagmamahal, at ‘yung pasasalamat sa Regal Entertainment, lalo na kina Ms. Roselle and kina sir Keith (Monteverde) kasi first Shake, Rattle namin ito, first horror movie ko po ito,” she added.

Known for her roles onscreen for drama and romance, Francine was happy to experience the challenge of scaring the audience with her latest role. “Ako, first time ko ’to. ‘Yung experience ko, sobrang saya. Ganun pala. Kasi ‘pag nanunuod lang ako dati, ini-imagine ko na paano kaya kung someday ako naman? Tapos ngayon, isa na rin ako sa mga mapapanuod, so it’s an early Christmas gift,” she admitted.
During the Evil Origins presscon, Francine’s love team partner Seth Fedelin also shared his gratitude to Regal Entertainment, who first showed major support to their love team Franseth during last year’s MMFF entry My Future You, which received positive reviews.
“Unang-una, gusto kong mag-pasalamat kay Ms. Roselle at saka kay Sir Keith. Nangyari ‘yung mga sinabi nila nung nakaraang taon tapos na natin ngayon. Maraming, maraming salamat. Thank you sa buong Regal Entertainment. Alam namin nahirapan din sa schedule, hindi lang sa amin. I know din sa ibang cast dito nahirapan kayo na pagtagpo-tagpuin ang mga kalendaryo namin, pero natapos natin. Nung ginawa namin ang My Future You, tapos ngayon hahanapan kami ng mga tao ng mga kaya namin i-contribute pa sa ibang genre ng pelikula, and sasabihin namin sa inyo — guys, binigay namin ito. Thank you sa mga nakasama naming co-actors. Napakamatulungin, napaka-cooperative ng cast. Excited ako masilip ‘yung episode one and three. I’m sure magagandahan ako,” Seth shared.
