Kapamilya star Charlie Dizon admitted that she has thought of having children even before she met her husband, actor Carlo Aquino. In an interview with Bianca Gonzalez for The B Side, the What Lies Beneath actress shared that she has always wanted to have kids and has an idea of how she will be as a future mom.
Charlie and Carlo tied the knot back in 2024 to the surprise of many with pregnancy rumors going around social media, which she denied.
Prior to meeting her husband, the Kapamilya actress expressed that she was open to having a child even if she doesn’t get married.
“Honestly, alam ni Carlo ‘to. Dati lagi kong sinasabi kahit hindi ako mag-asawa, basta magka anak ako. Mas gusto kong magka anak,” she shared.
“Hindi ko rin akalain na maga-asawa na ako agad. Yung bigla nalang siyang dumating sa buhay ko tapos, boom, asawa. Dati, lagi kong sinasabi yun na gusto kong magka baby din kasi talagang gusto kong makita ano attributes kaya meron ako na mapapasa ko sa kanya,” she explained.
Charlie added how she also sees herself as a spoiler and has a softer parenting approach as compared to Carlo whom she views as more of a “disciplinarian.”
“Paano ako as a mom? Paano ako magpapalaki–– spoiler ba ako or mas disciplinarian. Pero ngayon, mas nafefeel ko na mas spoiler ako. Siya yung mas firm kasi siguro lalaki. Ako yung mas soft talaga. Pag nagsabi sa akin na please, hindi ko na matiis or pag nakita ko ng umiyak, go. Ganun agad,” she narrated.

Despite her willingness to have a child already, the actress maintained that she isn’t rushing things and will just wait for the right time.
“In God’s perfect timing siguro,” she maintained.
Charlie then shared that she hopes to continue her career even after she children–– she expressed how it’s a dream for her to balance being both a mom and a careerwoman.
“Yun na yung gusto ko mangyari. Yung nababalance na talaga. Kasi siyempre wala pa akong kids din so sana eventually kapag nangyari yun, yun na yung gusto ko–– mabalance ko na rin yung time with family and career na active pa rin ako,” she ended.
