The spirit of Christmas is set to shine brighter for Filipinos abroad as The Filipino Channel (TFC) brings its much-loved “TFC Happy Hour” to two festive stages: Christchurch, New Zealand, with actress Bela Padilla, and Sydney, Australia, with powerhouse singer Morissette.
Bela Padilla, who is making her first-ever visit to New Zealand, shared her excitement about meeting Kapamilya fans in Christchurch.
“Super excited! First time ko sa New Zealand, so first time ko rin sa Christchurch. Lagi lang akong nakakakita ng pictures ng New Zealand and ang ganda niya. Siyempre, excited din ako ma-meet yung mga Kapamilya natin sa New Zealand,” she said.
The actress revealed she is eager to try local food and explore the country’s famed hiking trails.
Padilla also invited fans to join her at Paskuhan sa Barangay Banyuhay Christchurch on November 30, promising a memorable celebration of Filipino culture and holiday spirit.
Meanwhile, Morissette is preparing to headline TFC Happy Hour at the Philippine Christmas Festival in Sydney.
The singer expressed her gratitude for being part of the event, saying, “It’s always fun kapag ang mga Pilipino ay magkakasama, and so of course, TFC is always going to be a part of that. I’m just so grateful to be representing TFC, and of course yung mga kababayan natin dito sa Pilipinas para po doon sa piyesta sa Sydney.”
Fans can expect Morissette to deliver heartfelt performances of beloved Christmas carols, a tradition she cherishes.
“The last time I was in Sydney was two years ago, also around Christmas time. I’m very excited to be back there, to be singing Christmas carols with everyone. Importante ito kasi it’s a Christmas Festival and to just sing yung mga sobrang inaabangan ng mga Kapamilya natin doon,” she shared.
As the year draws to a close, Morissette discussed her family’s plans to spend the holidays in the Philippines after a fruitful year.
She also offered a hopeful wish for 2026: “My personal wish is mai-tour namin yung Ember concert, but also next year ay we, as a nation, will work together. There’s just so much that happened this year and I feel like we can all continue to help each other out.”
