South Korean actress Jo Bo-ah is expecting her first child, her management company announced Tuesday.
XYZ Studio confirmed the 34-year-old star's pregnancy following reports by media outlets, according to Korean entertainment news portal Soompi.
"Actress Jo Bo-ah is expecting a child," the company said in the statement translated into English and published in full by Soompi.
"We ask that you watch over her with warm blessings, and we ask for your generous understanding that we cannot share further details including her due date," it added.
Bo-ah, who has 1.5 million Instagram followers, is known for her leading roles in dramas such as "Forest," "Tale of the Nine Tailed," "Military Prosecutor Doberman" and "Destined With You."
The actress married a non-celebrity in October 2024.
Earlier this year, Bo-ah starred in Netflix's period mystery series "Dear Hongrang," portraying the daughter of an influential clan who searches for her long-lost half-brother.

She was also set to star in the Disney+ series "Knock Off," which was supposed to come out this year but was postponed due to controversies surrounding lead actor Kim Soo-hyun.
