AC Bonifacio remains grateful despite her departure from the upcoming K-pop thriller Perfect Girl, sharing a message of gratitude on November 22 as she continues to rest and recover at home.
The Kapamilya actress earlier confirmed that she withdrew from the project after getting into a motorcycle accident in Bangkok, Thailand, where she had been staying for nearly a month for filming and rehearsals. The accident occurred on her day off while she was riding a motorcycle taxi to a weekend market. The vehicle slipped, causing her to fall and injure her right shoulder.
“It was a motorcyle accident, we slipped. It wasn’t anything crazy,” she told ABS-CBN News. “We just slipped. I blocked my fall with my arm. Kasi if not, it could have been worse.”

Following medical tests and surgery, it was determined that she had suffered a fractured humerus. “It was a clean break. It was a break na the orthos are saying na I’m lucky to have,” she added, recalling how the situation left her in shock because it was something she had never experienced before.
On Saturday, November 22, the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition alumna took to Instagram to share her experience and gratitude. Her post included photos documenting her journey with the project, from script readings, behind-the-scenes moments, along with images and videos taken after the accident, including her X-ray and hospital stay.
“Blessed to have been chosen to be a part of an international film with such a powerhouse all-asian cast,” she wrote. “Unfortunately, life doesn’t always pan out the way we want it to.”
AC was part of an all-asian cast which includes Arden Cho and May Hong from the Netflix hit animated movie K-Pop Demon Hunters, K-Pop star Nancy from Momoland, and Thai star Ally, among others.
Before the accident, she admitted that she was really looking forward to announcing the good news: “I was so excited to finally announce ‘Perfect Girl’. I did my auditions, booked the part and had been shooting in Bangkok already.”
“Freak accidents happen and it’s unfortunately forced me to take a rest and focus on healing and getting better,” she continued.
She expressed appreciation for the care she received from the cast and production team, saying she gained a “new family” throughout the experience. “But even in such a tough moment, I was surrounded by so much love. I gained a new family in this project. People took care of me, checked up on me, and made memories with me that I’ll always treasure. So grateful for every single one of them. Will always be thankful for this journey I had with them.”
AC thanked everyone who supported her during the ordeal. “I’m very thankful for everyone who’s supported me through all of this. My journey doesn’t stop here - I will continue to work hard and not give up. Everything happens for a reason,” she said, even adding humor about taking on “one-arm dance trends.”

As she shares her gratitude and recovery journey, friends and fans have also extended their support for AC.

“We love you AC!! my 동생❤️,” wrote K-Pop star Nancy McDonie.
“And yes you’re so right… we don’t know why this happened but one thing for sure is you work SO HARD and deserve nothing but the best… and I think you really needed to take a rest! May your body be healed so so quickly! We love you AC and you’ll always be part of our fam!!! 💜✨ miss you!!!!,” said fellow Perfect Girl cast Arden Cho.
A steel plate has been inserted into her injured arm, and she is expected to undergo six weeks of healing followed by therapy. Her recovery will depend on how quickly her body responds.
AC is now back in the Philippines to continue her recovery and healing.
