Kapamilya singer and songwriter Maki shared how apologetic he was to the fans of South Korean girl group TWICE who were behind them during the group’s concert earlier this month at the Philippine Arena. The “Dilaw” hitmaker expressed on his X (formerly Twitter) account how he will learn from this moving forward and that it won’t happen again in the future.
Fans of TWICE called him out on X after the concert of the girl group as he, alongside his siblings, were standing. This resulted in the people behind them to have an obstructed view of the show.

“Before this day ends, I just want to tell everyone behind us during the concert that I sincerely apologize also on behalf of my siblings,” he wrote.
Maki expressed how it wasn’t their intention to block anyone’s view. They were just “too excited” as they were really fans of the K-Pop girl group.
“If I could go back and undo it, I would :(( The least thing that I want to happen is to take someone else’s moment during the concert just so we could enjoy. It really wasn’t our intention and we got too excited,” he added.
The Kapamilya singer and songwriter maintained that while it isn’t an excuse for them to be standing up, it was a concert they were really looking forward to.
“Not that it’s an excuse, but it really is our first time to this kpop concert culture exp since we’ve never been in any na we really know all the dance and songs. It was our dream to go there and I know it’s also yours too. I’m really sorry,” he stressed.
“Best believe, next time around, it will not happen again. I promise,” he assured the fans of TWICE.
He then requested the fans of the K-Pop girl group to spare his brother from the bashing and let them learn from their mistakes moving forward.

“Just for the sake of letting everyone know, if we want people to learn from their mistakes, let’s stop calling them names. Rather, to be constructive is the best way to let them learn from their mistakes,” he expressed.
“Sorry once,” he ended.
TWICE held a successful one-night only concert in the country earlier this month which was attended by thousands of their Filipino fans. Their member, Jeongyeon, was unable to join the group due to health concerns.
