Taylor Swift has revealed that her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, played a key role in designing her engagement ring.
"He designed it with this amazing jeweler, Kindred Lubeck is her name, she does all her gold engraving by hand and I'd shown him a video, I just thought her stuff was so cool, so I showed him a video like a year-and-a-half ago," she shared in an interview with Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton on Heart Breakfast.
The global pop star expressed her admiration for Travis's thoughtfulness and attention to detail. "He was just paying attention to everything it turns out because when I saw the ring I was like, 'I know who made that, I know who made that, and also you listened to me,'" she shared.
Taylor added that the ring felt like proof of how well Travis knows her. "It was like, you really know me, I didn't know what I would want, but he did somehow and that's kind of a flex," she remarked.
When asked if she had started planning her hen night (bachelorette party), the singer admitted that wedding plans hadn't crossed her mind before the engagement.
"Actually, you would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do, or what I would want, until I met the person," she said. "So I haven't actually thought about that, like doing a hen [night] or whatever, this is the first time I've thought about that.”
It was in August when Taylor announced her engagement to Travis.
The singer made the announcement on her Instagram page. "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨," Taylor posted at that time.
In her TIME Magazine interview in December 2023 after being named 2023 Person of the Year, Taylor spoke about how her romance with Travis began, sharing "it all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was mental as hell."
"We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," Taylor relayed.
The "Blank Space" hitmaker also pointed out that when she was first seen at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September, she and Travis were already in a relationship.
