Melai Cantiveros reflected on her marriage in a recent social media post, saying that putting God at the center has kept her relationship with Jason Francisco strong.
"In this love life of ours, God is the main character of our humble relationship 🙏🏼 , He is the center of attraction that's why we attract each [other]," she posted.
She then quipped: "Even sometimes we [attack]? But at the end of the day we choose to [attack] in a love way 🤔😄😘 char char…🥰 hahahaha."
The couple, together with their family, recently went on a trip to Busan, South Korea. Melai shared their snapshots at a scenic spot in Busan via social media.
"Kamsahamnida Hananim (God) for this tourist attraction in Busan SoKor amazing view that cannot be broken kasi delikado ui . Very safe cya itu ay sa Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory in Busan South Korea .🥰 Kamsahamnida Korea Tourism Organization Manila Office," she said.
It was in May 2024 when Melai was appointed as an honorary ambassador of the Korea Tourism Organization for its Family Fun in Korea campaign.
"Kamsahamnidaaa mga Kamsamiii kung di dahil sa inyu di kmi mapipili na maging ambassador and ambasadress ng KTO @ktomanila 🇰🇷🫰this oppurtunity ay para sa inyu mga Kamsamiiii , ipapakita nmin sa inyu ang mga happiness nmin dtu sa Korea , medyu di lang ako naka update dahil nagkaroon ng emergency , and Thank you sa inyung prayers na ok na ang health ng baby steya nmin 🇰🇷❤️," she wrote at that time on Instagram following her appointment.
Melai and Jason tied the knot on December 9, 2013, at the Holy Cross Parish in General Santos City.
In a past interview with Ogie Diaz, Melai also discussed the secret to having a strong and happy marriage with Jason. "Understanding at respect, 'yun ang number one sa relasyon. Love, kahit ihuli mo na 'yun," she said.
"'Yung love 'yun ang opening remarks. Pero sa relasyon, para mag tagal, respect na at understanding. Intindihin mo. 'Sang katutak na intindi talaga," the television host added.
Melai also said that they will always choose each other. "Andun pa rin na pipiliin ang isa’t isa, kasi para sa mga bata. At para sa 'I do' namin sa simbahan," she stated.
