Gabbi Garcia shared her thoughts on why she and longtime boyfriend Khalil Ramos have not yet tied the knot even after eight years together.
"When we feel like it, it will happen. I don't think you can ever be prepared for marriage. It just happens, when you both decide na ‘okay, game’," she remarked in an interview with Boy Abunda for The Interviewer.
She stressed that not being married yet does not reflect the depth of their relationship.
"It doesn't mean you love the person less because you still don't want to get married now. It doesn't mean that way. It's just, wala, you just don't feel it yet. And when the time comes, it's gonna happen. You will feel it," she stated.
In an interview with Karen Davila back in May, Gabbi and Khalil pointed out that while marriage is in their future, they feel no pressure to rush into it.
"When it comes to marriage we talk about it... of course 'yun naman 'yung goal di ba... Pero there is no pressure and we also don't pressure ourselves. People around us don't pressure us as well kasi alam naman namin na dun din naman papunta. We are just taking our time," Gabbi said.
Khalil echoed Gabbi's sentiments, emphasizing that they are both focused on their respective careers at the moment.
"For the both of us kasi since we have our individual careers, I think it's a matter of weighing the current season in our careers, if it's the right time to actually settle down and get married. We both are aware that it would take a lot of time, siyempre there are wedding preps and everything," the actor remarked.
Gabbi and Khalil celebrated their 8th year anniversary as a couple back in February 2025.
At that time, Gabbi took to social media to reflect on their relationship as they marked the occasion.
She wrote: "2.22 🖤 8 years of you, of us, of love that feels like home. We celebrated the way we always do—side by side, hearts full, plates fuller… and pants definitely tighter 😋🤍 I love you and I love our relationship so much, @khalilramos ♥️."
Khalil also penned a post on social media, sharing a reel highlighting some of their most memorable moments together over the years. "Year 8 in 60 seconds 🖤A year to remember. Everywhere and everything with you my love!! Happy Anniversary ❤️ I love you so mucho! @gabbi," he posted.
