American media personality and socialite Kim Kardashian opened up about her decision to split with rapper and songwriter Kanye West. In the recent episode of Call Her Daddy where the businesswoman was a guest, she described how a “lack of stability” played a big factor in her decision.
Kim and Kanye tied the knot through a lavish wedding ceremony in Italy back in 2014. She then filed for divorce seven years later, which was finalized in 2022.

She recalled how she didn’t feel safe anymore at their house–– both emotionally and financially. The socialite shared the time when Kanye gave away five Lamborghinis to his friends during one of his mental health episodes.
Kanye has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and autism.
“I didn’t know what you’re going to get when you wake up and that’s like a really unsettling feeling,” she expressed.
Despite his episodes, Kim maintained that she tried to support him throughout his mental health journey but it was the “lack of stability” that did it for her.
“I think when someone has like their first like mental break, you know, you want to be super supportive and you want to like help figure that out and you want to really get into that with them and be there for them,” she shared.

“But I think that when someone isn’t willing to make changes that I think would be super healthy and beneficial, it makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic,” she added.
She wanted to leave for the sake of their children’s future. The American personality has four children with Kanye–– North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
“You really have to take your time and wait and see if there’ll be changes. But once you get to a place where you feel like it’s not going to change or get better, then you have to make some serious choices on what you’re going to do. That’s like a really hard reality to face, you know?” she said.
