It was just last month when well-loved showbiz personality Kris Aquino last shared her latest health update after getting confined as she had to undergo two medical procedures. The undisputed “Queen of All Media” continues her health battle after being diagnosed with 11 autoimmune diseases last June. In her latest Instagram post last October 12, Kris wrote, “It’s been a very tough 8 weeks but somehow I SURVIVED. This video is about my 2 boys. And why i’m fighting for them.”
In the same post, Kris also talked about how proud she is of her youngest son’s Bimby’s journey when it comes to music. Last month, local talent management company Cornerstone Entertainment gave a glimpse of Bimby’s vocal lessons with award-winning singer-songwriter and vocal coach, Thor Dulay. It was in 2023 when Bimby was first sighted online with Cornerstone executives along with his mom’s former co-host Boy Abunda, who stood in as his guardian while his mom was abroad.

In the same post, Kris shared a short clip of her son in the middle of a voice lesson at a studio. She wrote, “My 18 year old has for now decided to continue with his singing lessons with coach Thor (plus some super star “Titos”who have volunteered to teach him about stage presence and how to make audience rapport fun for all. From the time he was 11 he’s been my companion every time I’ve had to been put to sleep for the numerous procedures I have undergone. A singing doctor- thank you hunny for being the embodiment of what mama had wished for.”
Last year while they were still staying in the states, Kris had already hinted about Bimby entering showbiz soon. She wrote as a reply to a follower in one of her posts, “Bimb might go home after my birthday. He needs to work because my medical bills are already getting higher & higher. But Tin, the stage mom is already saying NO to a name change. He’ll stay as Bimb. No last name, like Drake,” she shared.
Despite being in and out of medical facilities this year, Kris has continued to keep her followers in the loop through social media and continuing to show how determined she is to overcome her illnesses. In a previous post, she wrote, “Marami na kaming pinagdaanan. In 5 days, we would have been back a year. I wish you could hear how quiet the hallways are. Thank you for praying, isa pang TEST OF TAPANG. 🇵🇭”

In another post, Kris shows how resilient she is throughout all her challenges in life, which also included a heartbreaking moment last month with her non-showbiz boyfriend.
