Sharon Cuneta is known for having a soft heart for animals, being a fur mom to their many pets at home as well as the rescues in the shelter. The Saving Grace actress proudly shared a certificate she received from a local shelter thanking her for her generous donation that helps support the daily needs and the rehabilitation of the rescued animals.

As a celebrity known for being of the industry’s biggest dog lovers, Sharon has also helped rescued dogs in the past. One of them is an aspin named Pawi, whom she fell in love with while shooting a movie in Olongapo City. The toothless rescue was later adopted by Sharon and is living his best life with her. In her latest update about him, Sharon wrote, “Last night with Pawi and our friends!💖💖💖 Tabachingching señorito!😂🥰 When I got him no teeth na siya! Sir Bungal😂😂😂💖💖💖”

During the holidays, Sharon shared snapshots of her furbabies while she was at home enjoying some bonding time with them. And even for Christmas, she requested for her followers to send donations to the animal shelters instead of buying her gifts for Christmas.
She accompanied the post with a video clip of herself visiting the Pawssion Project booth at an event in Makati last month. She wrote, “Ayoko po ng regalo sa Pasko o birthday ko! Kung talaga pong gusto ninyo akong bigyan ng gift, ito lang po ang tatanggapin ko ng buong puso at sobra akong mapapasaya! Tulong lang po sa furbabies namin sa @pawssionproject - pinapadala po nila sa akin ang names ng mga tumutulong at sinabing because of me or for me! Thank you so much po. Please do not send me gifts! Just like her mom, Sharon’s eldest daughter KC Concepcion also shares a love for dogs like the megastar.
Sharon also helps spread the news on how to help animal shelters like Pawssion Project by reposting their updates and informing her followers on what they can do for the animals aside from donating like being a foster parent.
In 2013, Sharon was the celebrity ambassador for the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) where modeled for the campaign along with PAWS shelter dogs Bambi, Hammie, and Miko. She had also previously adopted rescued aspin Rosie from the PAWS shelter in Quezon City in 2012.
