MANILA - The lawyer of Rufa Mae Quinto confirmed to ABS-CBN News on Monday evening that the comedienne has a warrant of arrest.
The warrant is related to the cases filed by investors against the skin care company, Dermacare.
Atty. Mary Louise Reyes, however, clarified that Rufa Mae is neither facing a large-scale estafa complaint nor a syndicated estafa complaint, but was charged with 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code.

In her social media post, Reyes said that an official statement will be released Tuesday, December 3.
“We appreciate the overwhelming support, as well as your understanding and continued trust in Ms. Quinto during this challenging time,” the counsel said.
Actress-entrepreneur Neri Naig was earlier arrested while attending a convention in Pasay City. She is facing charges of estafa and violation of the Securities Regulation Code after allegedly persuading investors to invest in the same skin care company.
