MANILA -- The family of the late OPM icon Francis Magalona commemorated his 15th death anniversary on Wednesday.
Dubbed as the country's Master Rapper, Magalona, also known by the moniker Francis M, died on March 6, 2009 after battling cancer. He was 44.
In her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Magalona's wife Pia uploaded snaps of her with her children Maxene and Saab visiting the grave of her husband.
Pia also shared throwback photos of Magalona on her Instagram updates.
Francis M and Pia have eight children -- Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Isabella, Elmo, Arkin, Clara, and Maxene.
On Instagram, Maxene and Saab also remembered their father's death anniversary.
"15 years!! Miss you, pop! #FrancisMForever," Saab captioned her post.
Maxene, who shared a quote about grief, also wrote: "This is me trying to send love to my father’s spirit, wherever he may be. We lost him 15 years ago. I love you, Pop! I hope to make you proud. #FrancisMForever."
Francis M was the son of 1950s legendary celebrity couple Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran.
Launched as a teen star in the 1980s, Francis M's career boomed with his hit rap song "Mga Kababayan," which was included in his album "Yo!" released in 1990.
His other hits include "Ito ang Gusto Ko," "Meron Akong Ano," "Mga Praning," and "Kaleidoscope World."
